After having roughly “30 minutes of sleep the last two days” and making a last-minute, eight hour drive south from Indianapolis to race, USAC National Midget star Tanner Thorson made the odds pay off with a victory in Wednesday night’s headlining 500cc Open Class mini-outlaw feature at Millbridge Speedway.

With over 60 karts in the pit area for just four classes people were in for an action packed night of racing! All classes began a new format this week which included group qualifying and inverting the top 4 qualifiers in each heat race! This proved for some exciting action throughout the night. A beautiful Carolina day was upon us and everyone was anxiously awaiting race time. The off season was only a couple months long but to some it felt like an eternity. During the very short off season the track went through multiple upgrades and changes. All the wooden walls were torn down and new steel walls were put in their place.
