  • D Mains, C Mains, B Mains Qualifiers and Feature

• 600 Non Wing will follow U6SA or A Class engine rules. Both packages must follow the U6SA Rev rule of 16,100.  Each car must have the U6SA tach plug installed for the track to test RPM.
  • U6SA or ASCS2 RR tire mandatory
  • No RR tire treatment
  • U6SA or A class engine rules except for ignition system types.
  • U6SA Rev Limit and charging system rules are still in place
  • Any motorcycle ignition system can be used on any engine
  • PE3 ignition systems is legal

Event Format

 Qualifying in 2 flights (Each Flight will race together all night. Heats, Qualifiers, D, C and B mains) Fast Qualifier gets 200 points, then drops 2 points per position

• Heat races will be lined up per qualifying with the top 4 inverted. Passing points will apply. Flight 1 make up the first group of heats, Flight 2 last heats
•  
• The top 20 in points per flight (Qualifying and Heat combined) will lock into the Qualifiers. 21-33 will go to C Mains.  34-46 will go to D mains.
• If you were in flight 1 you will be in E,D,C,B 1 And Flight 2 will be ,D,C,B 2
• Qualifiers will lineup per points with the top 4 in each qualifier inverted. Passing Points will apply.
• Top 8 in combined points will transfer to the A Main.  (Will apply for Flight 1 and Flight 2) Total of 16 cars locked in after Qualifiers.
• 9-20 will have to run the B main, plus top 4 from C main. Top 4 finishers in each B main will transfer to the A.

 

 

 

October 25-26 2021 (Monday and Tuesday)

• Monday October 25^th. Beginner Box Stock, Non Wing 600, and Midget.
  • Beginner Box Stock championship night. Final points race for Beginner Box Stock.
  • Beginner Box Stock Champion will pace the Midget field for the 4 wide salute.
  • Non Wing 600 race $500 to win
  • Midget Prelim night. $2500 to win. $7,650 purse
• Tuesday October 26^th. Box Stock, Non Wing 600, and Mildget.
  • Box Stock championship night. Final points race for Box Stock Division
  • Box Stock Champion will pace the Midget field for the 4 wide salute.
  • Non Wing 600 race. $500 to win.
  • Midget finale. $7,500 to win.  $21,900 purse.
• Wednesday October 27^th
  • Cadet, JR Wing, Intermediate, Open and NON Wing U6SA Championship Night (NO MIDGETS)
  • Final points race for these divisions. Normal weekly show.
  • $500 to win U6SA Non Wing 600. U6SA rules only on Wednesday.  NO A Class Engine or PE3

 

• Monday October 25^th $20 pit pass, includes grandstand ticket (Beginner Box Stock teams will get a limited number of discount tickets)
• Tuesday October 26^th $25 pit pass, includes grandstand ticket (Box Stock teams will get a limited number of discount tickets)

• Midget rules will follow Chili Bowl rules. Although we will allow drivers under 16 but must be approved in advance by Millbridge Speedway.
• Pit pass/Tickets will be sold in advance for the Monday/Tuesday portion.

May 24-26 2021 The Patriot Shootout. $1000 to win NON Wing 600s Tuesday Night with $400 to win Beginner Box Stock as a support division. $1000 to win NON Wing 600s Wednesday Night with $500 to win Box Stocks as a support division. $20 Pit Passes each night. $10 for kids 7-12. Open Practice for Beginner, Box Stock, and 600s on Monday. $10 pit pass $20 to practice. Full payout through the entire A Main for the 600 races. Full Schedule and payout will be announced soon. We are looking for sponsors for this event to help grow the purse in all classes. If anyone is interested please contact us. 600s will follow U6SA rules.

2021 Changes

 (All rule changes effective immediately unless noted)

• Tuesday Night Class lineup. Cadet, Beginner Box Stock, Box Stock and Open
• Wednesday Night Class lineup. JR Wing, Intermediate, and 600 Micro Sprint
• Cadet Division will now line up and race just like all other classes. There will be a winner.  But NO points will be kept.  Once a driver wins 2 features with 5 or more karts they must move up to beginner box stock.  Starting in March Cadet teams must follow all beginner box stock rules.  Must have tires in impound and run a sealed Briggs engine.
• Beginner Box Stock B mains will now transfer to A Main. Format will be just like Box Stock division.
• Beginner Box Stock weight rule 285lbs
• Box Stock weight rule 325lbs
• All classes must utilize a sprint car style rear bumper. No square flat kart bumpers.  Must extend back a minimum of 7” from end of frame rail.  (Bumper design must be approved by track management).

 

• Intermediate Class will now follow box stock wing size rules. (20” high, Right board 40” long 14” high. Must be within +/- 2 inches) Measurements include any lip on the side panels. Only 1 bend is allowed. Lips cannot exceed 1 inch.)  No more than 1” of dish in the center section.  Only ½” wicker allowed on center section.  Center section 32” x 35” +/- 2 inches (Goes into effect in March 2021)

 

• Open Division 4 stroke 450cc and below powered karts minimum weight 450lbs.

 

• NEW CLASS JR Wing.
  • Official rules will be posted on website.
  • Tires will be Treaded Hoosier D-30. Impounded with same rules and Box Stock tires.  No soaking or altering the tire in anyway.  Tire testing will be in place.  Right Rear 11.5×8 D30, LR and RF 11×6.5 D30, LF 11×5.5 D30
  • Engines will be ran on Alcohol. Unsealed Briggs engines with a spec cam, piston, crank and rod. 
  • 7100 rpm Briggs Coil.
  • Box Stock wing rules will apply. Must be flat panel center.  No air foil type wings.  Only ½” wicker allowed on center section.
  • Minimum weight rule 350lbs
  • Minimum age 10 years old. (Unless approved by track management)

 

• 600 Micros will follow all the U6SA rules for 2021. Including weight rules.  Non wing will be 775lbs and winged will be 800lbs.
• Full 2021 rule book will be posted on the website.

The event will take place at Millbridge Speedway, a 1/6-mile oval in Salisbury, North Carolina which has become the state’s premier destination for Outlaw Kart racing.  Following the successful TRD Micro Showdown in 2019, Millbrdge added Micro Sprints to its weekly program in 2020, building towards the TRD Keith Kunz Motorsports Giveback Classic in November.

 

That event drew more than 100 entries, giving the facility a wave of momentum towards its first Midget event in December.  Both Saturday and Sunday will feature full shows, with Saturday’s main event paying $2,500 to win and Sunday’s feature offering $5,000.

 

Each night of racing will feature qualifying and heat races, utilizing passing points to set the field for qualifiers as well as B and C Mains as necessary.  This will all build towards the night’s feature race.

 

Entrants will be announced in the coming days on Millbridge Speedway’s social media platforms, but one big name has already been announced adding another jolt of energy to the event.  NASCAR Cup Series Champion Chase Elliott is making his Midget debut this winter, competing in the DiaEdge Carolina Midget Showdown before heading to Tulsa for the Chili Bowl Nationals.

 

While Elliott is looking for seat time in a Midget before the crown jewel event in January, many Midget drivers could see the Carolina Midget Showdown as a chance to tune up at a tight bullring similar to the one constructed each year at the River Spirit Expo Center.

 

The Midgets will not be the only racers in action during the DiaEdge Carolina Midget Showdown.  Both evenings of racing will also feature the Beginner Box Stock and Box Stock Outlaw Karts.

 

The entry-level divisions for Millbridge’s weekly competition, the Box Stock and Beginner Box Stock classes feature young racers getting their first on-track experience.  Many of the drivers who competed in Millbridge’s Micro Sprints and Open Outlaw Karts for wins and championships in 2020 started out in the Box Stock classes earlier in their careers.

After an exciting and successful first season, a pair of motorsports events are returning to the Appalachian Regional Exposition Center for 2020.

 

The Blue Ridge Bash demolition derby and the Appalachian Indoor Showdown kart racing events are both back for February 2020.  The events will once again be promoted by Jeremy and Ashly Burnett of Millbridge Speedway (NC).  The Blue Ridge Bash will also be co-promoted by Carolina Derby Promotions.

 

The Blue Ridge Bash will take place Saturday, February 22.  More than 100 cars have pre-entered the demolition derby event, and registration is currently full.

 

Pit passes will be $25 for the demolition derby.  Grandstand admission will be $20 for adults and $10 for children.  Tickets will be available at the door or on Eventbrite.com.

 

The Appalachian Indoor Showdown will take place one week later on Saturday, February 29.  Like last year, the event will feature four classes for both Outlaw Karts and Go Karts.

 

The four Outlaw Kart classes traditionally seen at Millbridge Speedway will be in action, with the Beginner Box Stocks, Box Stocks, Intermediates and Opens all participating in the event.

 

For the Go Karts, there will be features for Clone Heavy, Clone Heavy Pro, Predator and Predator Pro racers.

 

Pit passes will be $20 for the kart racing, with grandstand admission set at $15 for adults and $10 for children.
